Must have 1-3 years experience and QUICKBOOKS. Recent position must have had a bookkeeping component.  Will assist in all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payables, accounts receivables, billing, etc., as well as assist with administrative functions

Responsibilities:

  • Support Assistant Controller in month end close process, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and analysis, and financial statements.
  • Accountant will be responsible for monthly preparation of invoicing for specific clients.
  • Review and maintain monthly accounting close binder, fee binder, and contract binder.
  • Prepare quarterly Commercial Real Estate tax form.
  • Post daily cash receipts.
  • Prepare and maintain archiving logs for billing job jackets and financial reports.
  • Update monthly status reports for billing preparation.
  • Work with account team to process time and expense transfers within jobs.
  • Follow up with account team regarding monthly fee approvals.
  • Check rates at month end to ensure proper revenue is reported.
  • Help with monthly job reconciliation process.
  • Assist Finance Manager with monthly tasks including audits and credit applications.
  • Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed by Management.

Qualifications:

  • ADVERTISING AGENCY BACKGROUND IS A MUST FOR THIS POSITION!!
  • Basic understanding of advertising business and how departments work
  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Experience with Advantage software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
